Had same issue. I performed a factory reset, and lost the live background. I'm pretty sure its called "seasonal zen" in the google app store. I installed the free one, however it does not run smoothly anymore. I feel like GPU rendering needs to be turned on or something.
Following picture above just took me to where to choose a background. I don't see how that could re-install it?

You need to go to choose the seasonal zen on our head unit system. not on the google app store.
