Optical output

Does anyone know what type of data (if any) is output from the S/PDIF (optical) interface? Is it PCM, LPCM in 5.1, 7.1 or stereo?

Also, a little off topic, but does anyone know if the unit can directly output audio via Bluetooth to amps that have that capability built-in?
