Opel Canbus decoder on universal FYT radio
#1
I have purchased the universal radio JY-UOS02P4, but I want to use it in my Opel Vectra C. Normally, you would use a Canbus box and a radio specific for the Opel Vectra, such as the JY-OM001N2

Now I want to use the Opel harness with Canbus box on the JY-UOS02P4, but I was told by sales department this would not work. Why?

My question is, what is different in the hardware between these two radios? Maybe I can solder something? Maybe I need to connect the canbus box TX and RX to the PX5 serial TX and RX?

For my radio, I can choose a CAN protocol, which I have set to XP -> Other -> Opel -> XP. How would this normally work? There is no serial RX and TX on the radio connector.

I also want to do this in my 2015 Kia Optima EX. I have JY-UOS07N4. I too have set the CAN protocol in my settings, but I'm a little weary about doing the canbus upgrade that would take about 10 mins. I'm not sure if that is the correct procedure.

Sorry that the Opel harness not workable on the universal head unit (UOS02P4 ) . the resistor on the motherboard between two head unit is different .
though you use the harness on your car , it also cannot keep the steering wheel control .
