Would it be possible to have an app or button in the equalizer app that allows the Headunits to select various audio profiles such as quadraphonic, 5.0, 5.1, 7.1 surround? It would need to modify "device/oem/codename/audio_policy.conf" for whatever device the headunit's amplify is identified as. It would most likely require a reboot for the setting to take effect. This would allow for movies to sound as intended by the director when playing via VLC or Kodi media players that support full surround decoding.
