Update for other forum users. I contacted Joying about my screen, and they confirmed my unit was under warranty. I must say the after-sales service has been excellent - thanks Joying.
13th Aug : Paid £20 shipping plus £50 deposit for the replacement.
17th Aug : Joying posted screen & emailed tracking details.
22nd Aug : New screen arrived. (5 days seems pretty good for China to UK postage)
28th Aug : old screen posted back to Joying
10th Sept : Joying refunded deposit.
Moral of this story for me, is email & ask for help . . . . Joying clearly wants to help & keep customers happy.
